The honest tier defaults

24 hours is the day-tripper’s card: funicular up to Fourvière, one flagship museum, the old-town tour if slots align — the two-meter math clears even in a day. 48 hours fits the classic Lyon weekend and is the tier most visitors should hold: two museum mornings, unlimited wandering between. 72 hours earns its step the moment Croix-Rousse’s silk slopes and the Confluences BOTH make the plan. 96 hours is for Lyon-as-a-base — and by then the per-day price is the cheapest on the ladder.

The continuous-hours rule

Every tier runs in continuous hours from first validation — not calendar days. The practical levers: activate on a morning, never at night; and remember a 48-hour card activated Saturday 9 am covers sights into Monday morning — useful precisely because Monday is when several museums (Confluences included) take their weekly rest.
